Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am UK based, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w payout would be when the place terms changed. I’d just guess and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here kalkulator single bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.
The thing that really changed how I bet is the nerdier extras. The odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. The design feels pretty plain — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — slight shame but you asked.
So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
