So — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. Am UK based, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an each way return actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here each way calculator bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.
What genuinely changed how I bet is the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. The interface feels a bit basic — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable but the bigger tables are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, works. If you still does the maths on paper, give it a go — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
