So — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an e/w return would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out returns instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. One thing that really made a difference was the nerdier extras. The odds-to-probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. The interface is a bit basic — zero flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine although the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
