So — been using this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. Am in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it shows returns instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. What really changed how I bet is the more serious tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator that shows the overround, plus a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. The interface feels pretty plain — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
